Part of our ongoing development plan is to continue to use the Trail as the focus for future projects and associations.
Over the next months we look forward to developing, planning and extending the work we have done with NHS South West Essex, involving new partners to create many other exciting initiatives, all inspired by the heritage trail!

Portrait Project
As they say, ‘every picture paints a thousand words’; to help raise the image of Basildon and its position as a premier town for industry and business in the South East we have started work on a project that will aim to creatively portray the people who keep Basildon going including the chief executive of Basildon Council, the voluntary sector and employees of various companies. This project will again involve local schools.
Currently we are raising funds for this exciting project that will tour throughout Essex.
Creative Educational Project
Plans are currently at the research phase of the ‘Big World Project’ that aims to link two primary schools in Basildon with two schools in Europe, extending the scope of our heritage project and meeting the aspirations of the DCMS in their publication, ‘Creative Britain’.
This project has gained extensive support from learning institutions around Essex and we are currently planning to move forward with this.
